I had an idea to bring more fun and interactivity to my site: an ongoing poll of sorts. More specifically, a “Sexiest Man in League” poll. I was originally going with a “Best Player in League” idea but realised that that would be too controversial and that ‘best player in league’ is very subjective. If we’re voting on players based purely on their looks, it’s less subjective and more light-hearted and fun, hence the switch from actual footy ability to ‘how good do I look without a shirt on’.
I had several rules in place in choosing the “contestants” in this poll:
1) One player per team was nominated for the poll.
2) The player must be in their team’s starting lineup or at least a frequent interchange.
3) The player must have earned two of three votes from the nominating panel.
The voting will begin this upcoming Sunday (28th July 2013). Round 1 will consist of two votes per week until the semi finals, where it’ll be one vote per week.
Corey Parker (Brisbane Broncos)
David Shillington (Canberra Raiders)
Josh Reynolds (Canterbury Bulldogs)
Beau Ryan (Cronulla Sharks)
Aidan Sezer (Gold Coast Titans)
Brenton Lawrence (Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles)
Cooper Cronk (Melbourne Storm)
Darius Boyd (Newcastle Knights)
Johnathan Thurston (North Queensland Cowboys)
Reni Maitua (Parramatta Eels)
Josh Mansour (Penrith Panthers)
Sam Burgess (South Sydney Rabbitohs)
Matt Cooper (St. George Illawarra Dragons)
Sonny Bill Williams (Sydney City Roosters)
Shaun Johnson (New Zealand Warriors)
Robbie Farah (West Tigers)
I hope to see an influx of votes in this poll. Get ready because we are about to decide who is Solstice Satisfaction’s Sexiest Man in League. May the best man win!

Editor’s note: I don’t know why Mansour has his own line, or why Robbie Farah’s picture is sucking in that arrowed line… but go with it anyway.
